1,500 SF Equipment Platform Built with 23′ Columns

Repeat business is the best compliment in our industry. Mezzmaster recently wrapped up phase two of a custom equipment platform NJ project for a repeat client in North Jersey. It came straight from the success of the platform we built for them in the same facility last year.

Building on a Proven Equipment Platform Design

When we finished the first platform, the client was very happy with the design, the install, and the way we handled the whole project. So when it was time to expand, they came back to Mezzmaster and asked for a very similar design.

Like the first, this 1,500 square foot platform is designed for a 200 PSF load rating. That gives the client a strong and dependable structure built to carry serious equipment. The decking includes bar grating, which lets light and airflow pass through, a big plus in an active industrial space.

Why This Custom Equipment Platform NJ Client Chose 23′ Columns

The one major change from phase one is the column height. This platform was designed with 23′ columns, and there is a smart reason behind it.

The client wanted to plan ahead. Right now the platform does exactly what they need. However, they want the option to add two important capabilities down the road.

The first is a fall protection tie off point, so employees working at height can safely tie off to the structure. The second is the ability to run an S beam down the middle of the platform for a trolley system. That would make servicing and repairing the equipment easier and safer.

Neither feature was a priority today. Instead, the client chose to invest in their own future by building the structure tall from the start. As a result, the platform is ready to grow with their operation.

A Smooth Install with No Issues

Standing 23′ columns up takes careful planning and an experienced crew. Our team delivered, and the install went smoothly with no issues. Once again, the client was very happy with our service.
